from the visitors book:

‘A really lovely cottage in a great location. We have returned as we enjoyed it so much the first time’.

‘The cottage is wonderfully comfortable, cosy when it needs to be, yet with a beautiful garden for fine days. It was one of those properties where you feel instantly at home’.

‘This is a beautiful, cosy, country cottage superbly located for many local beaches which, at most are only a 10 minute drive away. The cottage was deceptively large and catered for all our needs as a family of 5 plus a dog!’.

‘We had a lovely time at Orchard Cottage – it’s in a beautiful location, has every amenity & is very stylish & comfortable’.

Our favourite day walk is the Soar to Salcombe circuit. Drive to East Soar, and as you approach Salcombe estuary stop for a great photo opportunity! Carry on down to South Sands and take the ferry into Salcombe, stroll around the shops and lunch at one of the many good pubs. Return walk via North Sands and the Winking Prawn for an ice cream.
